Puzzled Minds Tutoring, LLC

About Me
My name is Jessica McCoy, and I am a dedicated Dyslexia Tutor trained in both the Orton-Gillingham and primarily use Wilson Reading Program.
My journey into this field began when my youngest son was diagnosed with dyslexia. I was fortunate to learn directly from the talented tutors who worked with him. Their guidance sparked a lifelong commitment to helping students who learn differently.
I understand that every student has a unique learning style, and I know firsthand how challenging it can be for children to receive the individualized support they need in a traditional classroom setting. That’s why I strive to create a supportive, engaging, and customized learning environment for each child I work with.
While I primarily use the Wilson Reading System, I also incorporate a variety of other research-based tools and strategies to meet my students’ needs. I use Kendore Learning to teach spelling rules and Child1st Publications for teaching sight words and math vocabulary.
I’m always learning, always adapting, and never afraid to explore new methods that might help my students succeed.
My ultimate goal is to empower students with the tools and confidence they need to thrive. Their success is my passion.
